To remain a key innovator in their market segment, our global client wanted to create a digital universe around their products, covering content, commerce, and sales support. Although they were skilled at engineering, sales, and marketing but relatively inexperienced when it came to digital commerce. Their internal IT and marketing teams couldn’t deal with such a demanding goal on their own.
We were brought in to help the client design a strategy that would fully digitalise and cloud-enable their products, build a strong digital organisation, and transform them into a true online business.

We strategized and plotted a unique approach to make our client’s business a true online business.
Reporting to senior management, we complemented the organisation with our key roles (lead business analyst, enterprise architect, delivery manager, UX designer) and began capturing and refining requirements. Together, we built a program organisation and program governance. We supported the introduction of the Agile software-development process, principles, and tooling, and also performed risk management and quality assurance.
By helping with staff hiring and coaching, and selecting technology and implementation partners, we were also involved in kick-start projects and initiatives.
After a difficult start, the client’s project team picked up Agile software-development principles and learned to work as one.
The team went through a steep learning curve, making a number of mistakes. However, they delivered a very respectable scope of quality at the expected launch date, despite the tremendous change the organisation had to go through.
