Our client already had an online store implemented using ATG 9.4. However, the site was not up to the desired standards, and had performance and extensibility issues. Our team had already collaborated with Tottus by fixing some of the performance and implementation issues.
The client wanted to increase the online channel’s sales and improve their overall footprint in the market. They decided to implement a new site from scratch using all of the Oracle Commerce Technology Stack. Given our previous experience and success we were appointed as the project’s implementation partner.
This project’s specific organisational and technical challenges included:
- Lack of technical and functional documentation
- Remote working sites for both our team and the client team, which was unfamiliar with Agile project management
- The client team changed

Our client now has the functionality to control the user experience and customer journey.
We worked with the client team and took leadership of the project, which included coaching their team to use Agile methodologies.We set up a mixed team of onshore and offshore developers in order to reduce cost without compromising the quality of deliverables. Keeping the right balance was key for the success.
We leveraged the team’s productivity by extensively using the Atlassian suite of products, and introducing a complete transparency policy.
The new website offers a modern, responsive user experience with a lot of new functionality, like Endeca-guided navigation and predictive search as well as search autocomplete and type-ahead.
Our client is now capable of controlling the user experience and customer journey through the Endeca Experience Manager.
